Conference Description

  • The international conference on wireless networks and mobile communications (WINCOM'16) will be held in the imperial city and Scientific capital of Morocco, Fez, on 26- 29 October 2016, Hotel Medina Palace. WINCOM'16 aims at examining the various challenges in the areas of wireless networks & mobile communications. The conference will provide a forum for exchanging ideas, discussing solutions, and sharing experiences among researchers and professionals from both academia and industry interested in wireless networks and mobile communications. WINCOM has been organized for the last three years, and that is in the form of two workshops. The first edition was held in Fez on December 25th,2013,  the second in Rabat on December 18th, 2014. In the third edition WINCOM switches to the conference size that was organized in Marrakech on October 20-23, 2015.

Prof. Hamidou Tembine
Learning and Game Theory Lab, New York University Abu

  • Biography:  Hamidou Tembine received his M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Avignon. His current research interests include distributed strategic learning, evolutionary games, mean field stochastic games and applications. In 2014, Tembine received the IEEE ComSoc Outstanding Young Researcher Award for his promising research activities for the benefit of the society. He was the recipient of six best paper awards in the applications of game theory. Tembine is a prolific researcher and holds over 150 scientific publications including magazines, letters, journals and conferences. He is author of the book on Distributed Strategic Learning for Engineers (published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis 2012), which received a book award 2014 in science and engineering, and co-author of the book Game Theory and Learning in Wireless Networks (Elsevier Academic Press). Tembine has been co-organizer of several scientific meetings on game theory in networking, wireless communications and smart energy systems. He is a senior member of IEEE.

 

Prof. Abdallah Shami
University of Western Ontario, Canada
  • Biography: Abdallah Shami received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon in 1997, and the Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Graduate School and University Center, City University of New York, New York, NY in September 2002. In September 2002, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada as an Assistant Professor. Since July 2004, he has been with Western University, Canada where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His current research interests are in the area of wireless/optical networking. Dr. Shami is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Communications Tutorials and SUrvey. Dr. Shami has chaired key symposia for IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, IEEE ICNC, and ICCIT. Dr. Shami is a Senior Member of IEEE.

 

Prof. Emad Alsusa
School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering The University of Manchester
  • Biography: Emad Alsusa completed a PhD in Telecommunications from the university of Bath in 2000. In the same year he was appointed to work on developing high data rates wireless communication systems as part of an industrial project at Edinburgh University. He joined Manchester University (then UMIST) in September 2003 as a lecturer of Communication Engineering. Since 2006 he has been an active member of the technical program comittee on many premier international conferences such as ICC, GlobeCom, PIMRC and WCNC. He has done cosultancies for organisations such HMGCC and NCUK and has been an external PhD examiner at many universities across the UK. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
